The works to the front of this seaside home were to create a stunning, resort-style aesthetic — a front yard that combined real functionality with high-end design, and welcomed guests the moment they arrived.

The Challenge

A front landscape has to be as structural as it is beautiful. The sandstone retaining walls needed to provide genuine support while looking timeless, the natural materials and lush tropical planting had to sit comfortably alongside sleek stainless steel, and the entrance staircase and lighting had to turn a functional approach into a grand, memorable arrival — by day and after dark.

Designing and building the landscape as one team, we reworked the front of the property:

• Built well-crafted sandstone retaining walls that provide both structural support and timeless, natural beauty
• Layered tropical resort-style planting with a variety of lush, vibrant plants for a rich tapestry of colour and texture
• Introduced stainless steel finishes throughout the landscape for a sleek, modern touch that contrasts and complements the natural elements
• Created an elegant entrance staircase as a grand approach to the home, inviting guests with its impressive design
• Placed mood garden lighting to highlight the key features, casting a warm, inviting glow and adding depth and drama in the evening
